2011 Conference Report


The 2011 PRMC was a great success! Attendees came away inspired and energized by the speakers and panels, and excited by the number of musical performances made available to them. Beginning with Andy Doe’s keynote address on how to foster innovation in your organization, this year’s conference explored ways of doing more, of reaching beyond the boundaries we may have set for ourselves, and finding ways to accomplish more than we thought we could. Click for more.


Bill McGloughlin Receives
Lifetime Achievement Award

The Association of Music Personnel in Public Radio, an organization dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of broadcast music, is very pleased to announce the latest recipient of its Lifetime Achievement Award. Given at AMPPR’s annual conference, held this year at the studios of New York Public Radio, the award went to veteran musician, conductor, composer and broadcaster, Bill McGloughlin. Click for more.


AMPPR Welcomes Two
New Board Members

Julie Amacher produces a weekly classical feature/podcast that introduces listeners to new music, “New Classical Tracks.” She is also the Program Director for Classical South Florida where she works to meet the music and programming needs of this very diverse ethnic community. David Wood is currently Music Director and Arts Bureau Chief at WFIU and continues to host evenings and weekends. Click for more.
